Akasa Projects was born out of passion to deliver a state of art done manually and traditionally. Our objective is to reignite and promote culture value from local industry to the global market. We believe that every product should be authentic and personal, as we want to appreciate and learn the personal story of human and technological effort that has gone into making each piece.
Our journey begin with a story of hand-woven fabric and a notebook. We’re inspired to interpret what we have learn from hand weaving fabric making into a notebook. An item which many of us carry as our daily essentials. There is only so much can be done to elevate a common notebook, after months of experiments we finally able to deliver a notebook with a hint of art and craftsmanship. Which generate something different, something personal and authentic.
Designed with multiple substantial features to serve its main duty as a notebook and crafted with handmade hand-woven fabric which displays an exquisite look. Each book is assembled with high quality material and Italian acid-free paper certified by FSC. Six beautiful patterns are applied into the notebook for our first line of collections. All the fabrics are handcrafted manually, carefully and traditionally using only natural pigmentations by our artisans in Central Java, Indonesia.
Our notebook will provide a distinctive experiences for creator and storyteller who’d love and enjoy day to day journey through a notebook with beautiful backstory. We’re not only delivering an ordinary notebook, it is a notebook with a beautiful story in the making. As you use our notebook, it means you also participating in our movement to passed on culture value from generations to generations along with your own story.
