After 9 years in the Collectible Toy Industry providing hundreds of award-winning, brand-strengthening products for such companies as DC Direct, Mezco Toyz and Gemmy Industries; John Santagada (the Radioactive Uppercut) is finally unleashing his own original toy line to an unsuspecting public!
This project is a true labor of love and has been in the planning stages for over 6 years!
If you love old sci-fi and horror flicks, 80’s toys and monster comics of the 50’s and 60’s then this figure will certainly be your poison!
8-Ball, the Terror From Space, is the first figure to be released by the Radioactive Uppercut and will be produced in Japanese sofubi vinyl and will come packaged in polybag with full color header card.
8-Ball will be manufactured in Japan in true sofubi fashion!
The figure was sculpted by Joshua Sutton of ERA Sculpture, stands at 4 inches tall and features 3 points of ‘city crushing’ articulation.
The first two editions of the figure, the standard red deco version and DIY blank “Decontamination Edition” will each come with a three-panel cardstock diorama and collectible character trading card.
The red deco version will cost $55 and will only be available through the Kickstarter.
The DIY blanks will cost $35 each and will not be produced again for several months.
Other incentive items available at lower donation tiers will be sticker packs, art magnets, buttons, trading cards and original 8-Ball head and full body pencil sketch artwork!
There are also 13 one-of-a-kind resin custom versions of 8-Ball!
The unpainted and clear green tinted resins will be joined by 11 fantastic customs graciously provided by some insanely talented artists!
The final full line-up of artists include George Gaspar, Motorbot, Spanky Stokes, Butcher Brand, DuBose Art, D-Lux, Topheroy, Monsterforge, Tom Connors and Living Dead Dolls co-creators Damien Glonek and Ed Long.
Many of the customs have been scooped up immediately at the launch of the campaign, but there are still a ton of exclusive goodies left!
8-Ball is the first character that will be released in the Radioactive Rumblers 4” vinyl monster figure line.
Plans have already begun on preparing designs for the future releases.
If the campaign is successfully funded, each project backer will be given a vote on what the next figure release in the Rumblers line will be!
