Bluencore, an Indie Game Studio based out of Mumbai, India has launched ‘War of Civilizations’ (WoC), a strategic warfare board game set in climate change affected dystopian earth in year 2050. Conceptualised by 14-year-old Aditya the family board game is a turn based 4x game with all the elements – explore, expand, exploit and exterminate. Six animal clans compete for global dominion by conquering islands, establish leadership and capture the legendary “Island of Myth”, while mining and optimising resources, defending attacks and facing disasters.
Bluencore launched WoC at the prestigious Internationale Spieltage SPIEL ’22, fairground Messe Essen. (Essen Game Fair), where it got encouraging response. The Kickstarter campaign is also LIVE and has already achieved more than half of its funding target.
Shelly Sinha, the founder of Bluencore says, “When Aditya first narrated WoC concept to me, I was immediately excited by the complexity and uniqueness of it. When I play tested the prototype gamers loved it and we felt truly this game deserves to be launched on best platforms. Have put two years of efforts in making this a beautiful game and taking it to SPIEL’22. This game will hook serious tabletop game lovers!”
