I am a devout runner and enjoy the green trails of San Antonio. When running, I would tie my key to the drawstring of my shorts. It was a good enough method to keep my key in check, or so I thought, though I one day lost the key when my tying skills weren’t up to par.

I needed a new system that would keep my house key safe while allowing the full enjoyment of my chosen sport. I tried the shoe wallet available in the market but tying it with the shoestring was quite tedious. One day, I noticed the magnetic paper clip hanging on my refrigerator in a new light. Boom, I can just make a clip using magnets and a pocket for my key. The first design was the result of a quick weekend project, but it needed functionality and style. It took my wife and me couple of months before we settled on the present design.
