On November 16 2015, Indiegogo announced in a blog post that they are teaming up with specialty retailer and product developer, Brookstone, to help creators bring their products to market faster.

“Indiegogo is a one-stop-shop for entrepreneurs, makers and startups to introduce, fund and test the market for their products,” says Indiegogo CEO and Co-Founder, Slava Rubin, “By partnering with Brookstone, we can now offer access to the services campaigners need to scale.”

Brookstone was founded in 1965 and currently runs over 200 retail stores in the United States and Puerto Rico. With years of experience in the catalog industry backing successful products, Brookstone is ready to share their expertise in design and engineering, manufacturing, marketing and retail, with Indiegogo’s most promising projects.

Together with Indiegogo, Brookstone will be offering mentorship and services to creators of projects in the technology, wellness, home and travel categories – specifically those with proven high demand and market validation.

Creators of technology and design projects can currently apply for the chance to gain access to these special features, which will be available throughout all stages of the crowdfunding process (before, during and after an Indiegogo campaign).

“The job of the Brookstone Launch program is to speed up development and delivery time, and to help Indiegogo campaigners realize the most opportunities from their ideas,” explains CEO of Brookstone, Tom Via.

For starters, 9 Indiegogo funded products will be available online or in Brookstone stores. Some of these include Axent Wear Cat Ear Headphones (which raised $3.4 million in November 2014), Canary Home Security (which raised $1.9 million) and the Fizzics Beer System (which raised $223k in July 2015).

With the recent launch of Indiegogo’s free personal fundraising platform, Generosity, it seems like the platform is actively seeking new ways to add value for crowdfunders in a number of areas. This newest partnership with Brookstone will be a great way to draw in more high-earning design and technology projects, with campaigners eager to reach the large consumer base that Brookstone has to offer.
