September 30, 2014 – Singapore – Springloaded is proud to present Hiragana Pixel Party, a rhythm game dedicated to helping you learn Japanese, coming soon on the WiiU, 3DS and possibly on the PS4 and Xbox!
Look forward to play the rhythm game, Hiragana Pixel Party! You will go through a beautiful array of levels and catchy ‘bitty’ music in order to learn Japanese and progress in the game. The basic premise of the game is simple: LISTEN (to read the characters displayed on screen) and TAP (the correct Japanese characters in time with the music as they appear on screen). Simple? Yes.. but engaging all the same!
Ever find yourself wanting to start a pilgrimage to Japan but held back because you don’t know Japanese? Or sulk helplessly when your favorite ‘torrented’ anime doesn’t have subtitles? Well fear no more, for Hiragana Pixel Party will help you learn Japanese while you have fun playing the game! Even if you are not interested in learning Japanese at all, the game stands on it’s own as an exciting and engaging experience. The game features both Hiragana and Katakana, along with 6 pieces of music to play along to. Over the course of well over 200 missions, players should have no problem picking up the skills required to read and pronounce any Japanese word written in these alphabets. Already available on mobile platforms, the game received many positive feedback.
‘Another great game (from what I’ve played so far) is My Japanese Coach. I’ve learned a lot in a short time!’, quoted from Box Fan Menace, Kotaku. ‘It’s incredibly simple, but also really effective, taking full advantage of the phonetic nature of Japanese.’, quoted from Eurogamer.net.

Hoping to bring the game to wider platforms, we have submitted the game to Greenlight in Steam (steamcommunity.com) as well as started a Kickstarter campaign (www.kickstarter.com).
